Registration Information
The Registration Department at Watsonville Community Hospital is responsible for registering patients for inpatient admissions and outpatient services such as laboratory services, radiology, same day surgery, oncology services, and wound care. The Registration Area is conveniently located on the ground floor of the hospital by the main entrance. Registration hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For patient's convenience, a pre-registration process is available for all surgeries, and for maternity patients prior to their delivery date. To pre-register, call 761-5601.
Many health insurance plans require pre-certification prior to providing hospital services. Please check with your physician to make sure that the pre-certification is verified according to your plan’s instructions to avoid any reduction in your insurance benefits.
Scheduled Procedures and Pre-Procedure Instructions
Your physician or other healthcare provider will schedule your pre-op testing, surgical procedure or diagnostic procedure, and will let you know the date and time to arrive at the hospital. Please make sure you receive information about any pre-procedure instructions.
During your registration, information and authorization will be needed for your medical record and for financial arrangements. All information will be handled confidentially.
Please bring any insurance materials including your insurance and/or Medicare or Medicaid cards, and pay any co-pays or deductibles if owed.
Other helpful information to bring with you includes a list of medications you take, and your advance directive if you have one. We have advance directive forms available for your use.
If you do not have insurance, you will be asked to pay for your scheduled service before it is rendered. A financial counselor is available to assist you with questions.
The main lobby and Emergency Room registration staff accept payment in the form of cash, check, debit card, or credit card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
