Welcome to Watsonville Community Hospital. We recognize that our patients benefit from the loving support of friends and family who visit.
Visiting regulations have been established to insure that our patients have adequate rest periods, decrease the risk of infection, and allow the hospital staff to provide the best care possible for patients.
In general, visiting hours are 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are some exceptions in specially designed areas such as Critical Care, Pediatrics and Maternity. Please ask at the nursing station if you have any questions regarding the visiting policy.
We ask that there be only two guests at a time in the room. Many patients tire easily, so it’s good practice to keep visits under 30 minutes.
Watsonville Community Hospital is a smoke free environment and we ask that you refrain from smoking while visiting the hospital. Also, please remember that many of our patients are not feeling well and are sensitive to loud talking or laughing.
Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to visit unless a special exception pass has been issued by the Charge Nurse on each unit. When children do visit, they must be accompanied my a responsible adult and must remain in the patient’s room. Children must also be accompanied by a responsible adult in the waiting areas and hospital lobbies.
For your protection, please do not enter a patient’s room posted with an isolation or visitor restriction sign without first checking with a nurse.
We appreciate your compliance with our visiting policy to ensure both the privacy and well-being of our patients.
