The Respiratory Therapy Department at Watsonville Community Hospital has a commitment to provide a broad continuum of care throughout the community. As a result, Respiratory Care services are available to both inpatients and outpatients.

Outpatient

Outpatient services include E.R. calls, outpatient appointments, and services to industrial clients. Outpatient services are scheduled through the Respiratory Therapy Department. E.R. care is provided 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Outpatient Pulmonary Function tests are scheduled by arrangement, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Inpatient

Inpatient services are provided by the Respiratory Therapy Department 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. There is a Pulmonary Medical Director or his/her designee on call 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week.

• oxygen therapy
• aerosolized medication therapy
• complete pulmonary function testing
• IPPB therapy
• arterial blood gas puncture
• chest physiotherapy
• adult and neonate ventilator care
